Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Minnesota, MNA Nurses Day on the Hill March 18-19 has been canceled.
We take the safety of all MNA members seriously, including limiting potential exposure to COVID-19 in highly populated areas such as the Minnesota Capitol. As leaders in healthcare throughout the state, we believe in modeling good behavior and hope our cancellation sends a strong message about our commitment to patients and the public. We will also be canceling all “mini-days on the hill” and are encouraging other organizations to follow suit. SEIU has informed us that their April lobby day is also canceled.
Tele-Townhall – March 18
In lieu of our in-person Day on the Hill, MNA will be conducting a tele-townhall on March 18 to discuss COVID-19 and other protections for workers. On this call, we will provide you with information that you can share with legislators to keep nurse issues top of mind as the legislative session rapidly progresses. More information on how you can participate in this tele-townhall will be forthcoming and will be widely distributed via email and social media on the MNA Facebook page
