Keeping Nurses at the Bedside

Nurses believe that all patients deserve safe, high-quality care. Unfortunately, Mayo Clinic Health System executives demanded an exemption to the patient and nurse protections in the Keeping Nurses at the Bedside Act, and Governor Walz has sided with corporate health executives over patients and workers.  Despite this exemption, nurses and patients at more than 90 percent of Minnesota hospitals stand to benefit from this landmark bill. Our safe staffing bill is still alive at the legislature–we need to make sure legislators stand strong against lobbying by other health executives!

Contact your legislators now to ensure our bill passes through the legislature and is signed into law
