Tomorrow (Feb. 23), more than 900 Minnesota RNs and nursing students will descend upon the State Capitol in St. Paul for the 2010 Nurses Day On The Hill rally and event. Hope to see you there! If you’re coming out or going to be at the Capitol, here are some of the highlights:
- 8:30 a.m. – MNA President Linda Hamilton testifies at the Senate HHS Budget Division hearing on the Minnesota Health Plan. Room 123.
- 11:00-11:30 a.m. – RNs meet with Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson in her State Capitol Office.
- 12:00 p.m. – Rally with 900-plus RNs in the State Capitol Rotunda. Speakers include MNA President Linda Hamilton, Minnesota AG Lori Swanson, State Sen. Tarryl Clark and State Rep. Paul Thissen. Topics include the effort to override Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s veto of the General Assistance Medical Care (GAMC) bill.
- 2:45 p.m. –MNA President Linda Hamilton and other nurses attend House HHS Policy hearing on the Minnesota Health Plan. (Room 200, State Office Building)
