The excitement is building for MNA’s 2017 Convention and House of Delegates Oct. 15-17 in Rochester.

MNA nurses from throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Iowa will gather for three days of inspiration, learning, planning MNA’s future – and fun!

This year’s theme is “Organize. Agitate. Educate.”

The schedule is packed with activities to empower delegates to return home with the skills and knowledge to organize, agitate, and educate your colleagues for the challenges we face in the next year.

Michael Milligan in ‘Side Effects’

Nurses will be treated to a special presentation of a play by Michael Milligan on Oct. 14. “Side Effects” is a one-man play telling the story of the “side effects” of a physician trying to balance bureaucratic and professional pressures.

Nurses will also say a special “thank you” to some of the many outstanding members and elected officials who do extraordinary work on behalf of patients, nursing, and social justice at the Honors and Awards Banquet on Oct. 16.

The House of Delegates is nurses’ opportunity to have a voice in some of the organization’s most important decisions, set MNA’s course for the following year, and vote on policies and bylaws that guide our union.

If you’re already a delegate, make sure you register for Convention!

If you’re not a delegate yet, there’s still time to become one.

It’s a simple 2-step process.

As always, Convention is a mix of fun, business, and building solidarity with your MNA sisters and brothers. Don’t miss out!
