Nurses at Aspirus Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors to hold informational picket

Nurses with the Minnesota Nurses Association have filed an intent to hold an informational picket on Wednesday, February 25, outside Aspirus Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors.

Nurses say negotiations with Aspirus leadership have stalled on critical workforce issues as they work toward a contract that supports long-term staffing stability and preserves existing insurance and retirement benefits.

“Since bargaining began in late September, Aspirus Lake View has not made meaningful progress toward addressing nurses’ concerns about retention and recruitment,” said Renee Lasky, RN. “When hospitals can retain experienced nurses and attract new ones, patient care is stronger and more consistent. We’re advocating for solutions that protect the long-term stability of care in our community.”

Wednesday’s informational picket is not a work stoppage.
