MNA Nurses: Here’s a great example of the power of collective action and the strength of YOUR union!
Earlier this month MNA RNs at North Memorial met with management to discuss the surge of Concern For Safe Staffing (CFSS) forms being submitted by MNA RNs inside the hospital’s recently reorganized Family Birth Center. Our MNA nurses initiated the meeting with management and expressed serious concern over the core staffing levels scheduled for each shift.
After a lengthy discussion, management agreed to increase the base core staff on each shift!
The situation will continue to be monitored by MNA members to ensure safe staffing levels for RNs, which we all know results in the best possible care and outcomes for our patients. Our North Memorial nurses are pleased management listened to their concerns and agreed that some changes needed to be made. And we’re pleased to share their success story with all of you! Union Strong!
