Commitment to Antiracism: Building Allyship Through Disrupting Bias and Generalizations Through Sociological Education Related to Race
This course aims to provide healthcare professionals with a foundational understanding of race and the forms of racism from a social-historical context and the impact that it has on the health of BIPOC (Black, Ingenious, & People of Color) and the communities we serve. In addition, this class will also discuss a pathway to becoming explicitly antiracist by disrupting bias, being accountable, and having a meaningful dialogue about race and racism with members of various racial and ethnic groups. A CURRENT ACLS certification is REQUIRED BEFORE attending this class.
