Mini Day on the Hill -Public Sector Day: This Mini Day is for HCMC and State of Minnesota Members

Visit the Minnesota State Capitol to talk with legislators about issues that have an impact on our patients and our profession.

We’ll meet at the MNA office in St. Paul (345 Randolph Avenue, #200) at 9:00 a.m. to get a briefing from staff and a quick training on telling our story to legislators. Then we’ll carpool over to the Capitol and speak with elected officials about issues like workplace violence and the Quality Patient Care Act which would ensure we have enough nurses to care for our patients.

CARN 2019 Mini Day on The Hill

Visit the Minnesota State Capitol to talk with legislators about issues that have an impact on our patients and our profession.

We’ll meet at the MNA office in St. Paul (345 Randolph Avenue, #200) at 9:00 a.m. to get a briefing from staff and a quick training on telling our story to legislators. Then we’ll carpool over to the Capitol and speak with elected officials about issues like workplace violence and the Quality Patient Care Act which would ensure we have enough nurses to care for our patients. We’ll ask for legislators’ support for our legislation, get to tour the Capitol grounds, and have a chance to sit in on committee hearings if they’re scheduled.

MNA’s nursing practice symposium provides a forum to discuss threats to the nursing scope of practice and ways MNA members can uphold their nursing code of ethics. These workshops will provide tools for responding to challenges that erode the nursing profession, make the job more stressful and contribute to feelings of burn-out.
