The Minnesota Nurses Association invites you and your students to participate in MNA’s Student Nurses Day on the Hill on Tuesday, April 14, 2019. The day will focus on briefing students about legislative priorities and facilitating their lobbying efforts with legislators. We aim to educate students about MNA and the political process, and ultimately influencing elected officials on nursing issues. There will also be an opportunity for students to meet and talk with MNA members who are leaders in their union and at the bedside.

MNA’s nursing practice symposium provides a forum to discuss threats and challenges to the nursing scope of practice and ways MNA members can uphold their nursing code of ethics. These workshops will examine nursing standards of practice by discussing the nurse practice act, nursing ethics, and current societal issues that impact the nursing profession.
