Intensive Care: The Story of a Nurse by Echo Heron (1988)
This play inspired by the infamous Tuskegee Study explores the relationship between the study’s participants and their nurse who is faced with an ethical quandary: tell the men they are not being treated for syphilis, or defer to the doctor leading the study on a quest to understand the disease.
