Intensive Care: The Story of a Nurse by Echo Heron (1988)
“This story chronicles the voyage of an idealistic nursing student through the gritty realities of practice…with humor and a fine eye for detail.” (from the Washington Post). Written in 1988, this story is practically ancient history compared to Intensive Care nursing today. Our discussion will be to compare and contrast then and now, and discuss what, if anything, in terms of ethical considerations changes over time.
